- At the beginning of the class, Mr. Fauzi introduced the module and reminded us that all submissions must be done through Google Classroom, not MyTime. He also showed us some works from previous students — their designs were super creative and really eye-catching.

Photo manipulation is the process of editing or enhancing a photo using software, such as adjusting brightness, removing blemishes, or adding effects.
Digital imaging is the process of creating or editing images using a computer or digital device.
This lecture also taught me some key tips on how to become a successful graphic designer.
PRACTICAL
Mr. Asrizal showed us collage works from past students and provided a website link for us to view them. He then introduced the tasks we need to complete next. First, we need to create an ePortfolio. He shared a YouTube video on "How to create an ePortfolio blog" and reminded us to watch it. He also told us to use the email we registered with Blogger to create a folder in Google Drive for this module's materials. Next, we need to browse three graphic design works that interest us, with a deadline of 02/05/2025. Finally, Mr. Asrizal reminded us to start collecting unwanted magazines for the next class.

PROGRESS
I created the ePortfolio by following the example ePortfolio link and YouTube tutorial provided by Mr. Asrizal.
The keyword I searched for is inspiration for graphic design.
- The Three Graphic Design that I like
- First Design:
This poster is for Taiwan’s Wake Up Festival ’18. It uses music, fantasy, and cartoon styles. It shows the festival is lively, free, and youthful. The bright colors, many details, and active figures make it fun and full of energy.
- Second Design:
- Third Design:
It is a promotional cover shot by photographer ASTRID for the Italian brand CELINE. It uses a black-and-white portrait overlay to highlight a minimalist yet modern style. The large brand name and title text create a strong visual impact and convey the brand’s elegance and confidence. The well-balanced layout and clear layers give a sense of independence and poise in the subject.
In the first week, I explored many different types of design and started to discover the styles I personally like. I also wrote down my thoughts and reflections on those pieces. I came to realize that art isn’t just about decoration or looking nice—it carries meaning, emotion, and creative intention. As someone studying pastry, this was a completely new perspective for me. While pastry does involve some artistic elements like plating and color coordination, we usually focus more on technique and flavor. This experience opened my eyes to how deeply art can connect with creativity.
